Thanks so much for your support which in 2015 helped HomePlate to reach over 1,000 youth in Washington County and provided them with almost 9,000 meals. The funds we raised at FarmPlate each year are a vital part of our annual budget and allow us the flexibility to respond to the needs of our youth as they arise.
This year, instead of hosting FarmPlate, we are focusing our resources on moving HomePlate to a new home. While we dearly love planning the FarmPlate gathering and seeing you there, it takes significant staff and volunteer time to execute a successful event. Our priority this summer is to focus on the big step of creating a place where we can serve youth more fully. This new facility will allow us to provide youth with expanded services, including:
- Access to programming and resources outside of drop-in hours
- A safe place to go during the day and chill
- Access shower and laundry facilities
- Computer lab with expanded employment services
- Easy access to public transit and other partner organizations
- Access to all the HomePlate staff in one place
We invite you to join our efforts in creating a welcoming home for youth experiencing homelessness and housing instability in Washington County. Our goal is to raise the $50,000 in revenue that FarmPlate would have generated by October 8th.
We have two generous donors who have committed Keystone Matching Gifts totaling $10,000, which means your gift will go twice as far.
Thank you for helping us build-up a Brick & Mortar Home 4 HomePlate!
Thank you to our generous sponsors for helping to make FarmPlate 2015 a success! Together we raised over $51,000!
