Thank You!

Thanks to the support of a community of caring and generous donors, we have moved to our new home in central Beaverton! We are very excited to be here and provide extended access to our services outside of evening drop-in. Last year we reached over 1,000 youth in Washington County but the need continues to grow. This new home will allow us to provide youth with vital expanded services, including:

  • Access to programming and resources outside of drop-in hours
  • A safe place to go during the day and access shower and laundry facilities
  • Computer lab with expanded employment services
  • Easy access to public transit and other partner organizations
  • Access to all the HomePlate staff in one place

Thank you for helping us build-up a Brick & Mortar Home 4 HomePlate!

FAQ's
For more information about our new home, please read the FAQs below or contact us at kirsten@homeplateyouth.org or 971-322-9381. Thanks!

Where is HomePlate moving?
To a house in central Beaverton, close to public transit and many resources that youth use.

Is HomePlate leaving Hillsboro?
No, we’ll continue to have a drop-in presence in Hillsboro, but not an office.

When is HomePlate moving?
We moved in on Sept. 6th thanks to help from Two Men and a Truck Beaverton

Will HomePlate own the new site?
No, from a business perspective it is a more efficient and responsible use of resources to lease a space. This will provide us an important home base, but also flexibility.

Why is HomePlate moving?
The need for our services continues to grow. Our new home will allow us to expand our services and provide:
  • A safe place to access shower and laundry facilities during the day

  • Access to all the HomePlate staff in one place
  • Access to programming and resources outside of drop-in hours

How can I help? What do you need?
In additon to the Wish List above, we’ll be posting volunteer opportunities as the date for the move gets closer. We definitely need your sustaining support and ask that you consider a $10 or $20 monthly donation to help us throughout the year with this major transition.
