HomePlate Youth Services to Launch “Sit-n-Stay” Dog Sitting Service at Beaverton Farmers Market on May 11th | Mar 26, 2013

 

Hillsboro, Oregon, March 26, 2013HomePlate Youth Services, Washington County’s only non-profit provider of drop-in centers and street-outreach for young people, up to the age of 24 experiencing homelessness, is launching a new weekly drop-in dog sitting service, called “Sit-n-Stay,” at the Beaverton Farmers Market on Saturday, May 11th.

HomePlate (homeplateyouth.org) is a grass roots non-profit social service agency that works with young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability in Washington County (up to age 24). HomePlate operates 3 drop-in center evenings as well as a street outreach program 5 days a week.

HomePlate Youth Services expanding its operations

HomePlate Youth Services opened its doors to Beaverton-area homeless youth on Wednesday. The nonprofit operates drop-in centers throughout Washington County that provide a free dinner each week, as well as housing, job and education resources and basic supplies such as bottled water, personal care items and tickets for public transit.
