The weather was near perfect for an amazing day of kickball competition, fundraising, and community support! We had 24 teams playing, and for the first time ever, 5 of those teams were made up of youth. Teams played in either the competitive or recreational divisions and trophies were given out for both sets of champions.
1st Place: "ADAPT or Die" (ADAPT Training)
2nd Place: "Potato Sackers" (Resers Cares)
3rd Place: "Carpet Baggers" (Koeber's Interiors)
1st Place: "YAC Attack!" (Hillsboro Youth Advisory Council)
2nd Place: "Side Kicks" (FirstTech Federal Credit Union)
3rd Place: "Learning to Kick" (Learning.com)
High Five Award: "Stop, Drop & Rollers" (TVFR Volunteers)
Team Spirit Award: "Daj Mahbal" (Metropolitan Land Group)
Best Cheer Squad: "New Kicks on the Block" (Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center)
Sweetness Award for the most funds raised by a team: "Just for Kicks"
As in years past, Mayor Doyle from the City of Beaverton and Mayor Callaway from the City of Hillsboro opened the day with remarks and the song, "Take Me Out to the Ballpark". ADAPT Training lead everyone in stretches on Ron Tonkin Field to warm up for the games. Play.Fit.Fun provided activities for children including a kids game during lunch. Players and fans enjoyed getting their faces painted. We had the addition of a pirate ship photo booth thanks to Windermere West volunteers, and 15 minute massages provided by Pamela at Sanosoma Professional Massage.
We are very grateful to our supporters and sponsors who made this event possible! Thanks to Windermere West, LLC for hosting the Beer Garden and Golden Valley Brewery for providing the beer and cider. Thanks to Nike for providing such awesome shirts!
